Early career included working for University of Calgary, Paramount Resources, Burlington Resources, ConocoPhillips, Total E&P, GLJ Petroleum Consultants, TD Securities, Iconoclast GeoResources, and Husky Energy.
Discovered billions of barrels oil, trillions of cubic feet methane in Canada with realized value of several billions of dollars. Involved in successful exploration for natural hydrogen, helium.
Founded or co-founded companies including Proton Technologies, Lithomax Inc., Strem Energy Inc.
Inventor on patents registered in more than 100 countries; related to enhanced oil recovery, hydrogen production, carbon sequestration, and geothermal energy. Sold patent licenses in 15 countries to 8 counterparties.
Raised $20 million into Proton Technologies Canada mostly by issuing equity at valuation exceeding $230 million.
Advanced the intellectual framework for geological hydrides and hydrosilicons.
